Fixed Prosthetic Applications

Fixed crown application aims to restore the integrity of the tooth, functionally and aesthetically, by using metals and porcelains for various reasons, excessive destruction of the crown part of the tooth or for aesthetic purposes. Bridge application is the treatment in which metal-ceramic, zirconium, full ceramic applications are applied on the adjacent teeth on both sides of the edentulous cavity. Zirconium is a white material that is not in gray tones like metals. Light-permeable zirconium has a higher fracture resistance than metal alloys, and it is an aesthetic alternative for patients who need to use metal infrastructure. Zirconium, which can withstand a load of approximately 950-1400 Mpa, can be applied in different colors with the developing technology and provides an appearance very close to the patient’s tooth color with the advantage of light transmission. Also, there is no allergy risk with nickel metal alloys because zirconium is a biocompatible material. Reinforced ceramics of full ceramic Empress, E-max prostheses with higher light permeability than zirconium are the infrastructure materials that give the closest aesthetic appearance to the natural tooth. Ceramic substrates containing lithium disilicate are the most widely used today. Ceramic infrastructures, which are more laborious and time-consuming, are created with both casting and CAD-CAM technology. Metal ceramic restorations; metal is used in the infrastructure and ceramics are used in the superstructure. It is generally preferred over the posterior region and implant. This material, which is durable up to 1000 Mpa, is highly preferred from the past to the present.

Removable Prosthetic Applications

A removable prosthesis is an artificial appliance that can be attached and removed by the patient and replaces missing teeth. Total Dentures: In cases where the patient has lost all his teeth, full dentures are applied. Partial (Partial) Dentures: In cases where the patient has lost some of his teeth, if it is not appropriate to make a fixed prosthetic tooth (bridge) (excessive number of missing teeth or insufficient load bearing of the teeth, etc.), partial dentures are applied. This type of prosthesis provides retention with wires called crochets attached to the main teeth. Precision-connected aesthetic prostheses can also be made for patients who think that these wire holders look and are not aesthetic.

Precision Attached Prostheses

It consists of hidden retainers that fit into the slots prepared in the teeth. Since precision attachment dentures are supported by both soft tissue and existing teeth, there is no problem in retention and cutting, biting and grinding functions can be performed easily.
